For a long time, both patients and doctors have been enthusiastic about fixed bridges (commonly known as dead teeth) for restoring missing teeth, because this type of restoration greatly avoids the many disadvantages of living teeth, such as unattractive and a large sense of foreign body. However, as a doctor, I am well aware of the irreversible damage caused by fixed bridges to neighboring teeth, and every time I explain the many disadvantages of fixed bridges over and over again for my patients, such as: in order to repair a missing tooth to damage the front and back of the neighboring teeth, and this kind of connecting bridges in the later stages as long as a broken one will have to be removed together with the three to be replaced, and so on. As a dental implant is very good to avoid these disadvantages, and it has its own root, rely on the bone to provide support, do not rely on neighboring teeth, is the best simulation of the function of real teeth restorations. I believe my presentation gave my patient a better understanding of restorations and helped him make the right choice for him. I also hope that I have been able to tell everyone who reads my article today, through photos and words, so that they can make choices that will help them avoid harm.
