There is no authoritative number stating the exact size of a benign pancreatic tumor; the average diameter is usually 1 to 2 cm, but it is impossible to generalize due to the different circumstances. Pancreatic tumor is a local tissue cell abnormal proliferation, thus forming a superfluous organism. Its pathogenesis has not yet been clarified, and according to research studies, its development may be related to factors such as smoking, high protein and high fat diets, hereditary pancreatitis, and diabetes mellitus. Benign pancreatic tumors include pancreatic cysts, islet cell tumors, fibrous tumors, lipomas and so on. The size of benign pancreatic tumors cannot be determined, and their exact size cannot be generalized due to individual circumstances. A domestic study said that the study included 28 patients with benign pancreatic tumors, with a minimum tumor volume of 1.5cm x 1.5cm x 1.0cm, a maximum of 10cm x 10cm x 8cm, and 10 cases with tumor diameter >3cm. Once patients are diagnosed with benign pancreatic tumors, they should take into account their own situation and actively cooperate with doctors to take relevant treatment measures. During the treatment period, patients should follow the doctor’s instructions for regular review, in order to understand the recovery of the disease.
