How do I know if I have polycystic ovary syndrome?

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a common endocrine metabolic disorder in women of reproductive age. PCOS is often characterized by abnormal menstruation, infertility, hyperandrogenism, and polycystic ovarian manifestations, and may be associated with metabolic abnormalities such as obesity, insulin resistance, and dyslipidemia. Polycystic ovary syndrome is a high-risk factor for the development of type II diabetes, cardiovascular disease and endometrial cancer, which seriously affects the quality of life of patients. Women with irregular menstruation, obesity, relatively heavy hair and acne should be alerted to the possibility of polycystic ovary syndrome. If a woman has the above conditions and has infertility or recurrent spontaneous abortion, she should pay enough attention and go to a professional reproductive endocrine clinic for ultrasound, blood sex hormone test, insulin resistance test and other related examinations as early as possible to make a clear diagnosis.
