Condyloma acuminatum is prone to recurrence due to the following factors.
HPV infection may persist even after the successful elimination of visually visible genital warts in the anus. On the one hand, patients may be re-infected through sexual contact, including if their sexual partner is ill or untreated, or by contact with a person with subclinical infection without visible warts; on the other hand, their own subclinical or latent HPV infection can lead to a recurrence of their disease.
Therefore, patients with warts need to avoid sexual intercourse during treatment and sexual partners are advised to visit a dermatologist for screening and treatment if infection is found.
After clinical treatment until the warts are completely eliminated, follow up for 6-12 months to allow for early detection and treatment of latent lesions. Intensify your exercise and strengthen your body.
