Breast self-examination diagram

When you start, look straight into the mirror with your shoulders straight and your hands at your waist. Here’s what you need to look for: Breasts are the same size, shape and color as before. The shape of the breast changes regularly and no deformation or swelling is seen. However, if you see any of the following changes, inform your doctor to draw their attention to them Dimple signs, wrinkling, orange peel, or bulging of the skin. Changes in nipple position or inversion (sunken inward rather than sticking out). Any redness, ulceration, rash, or small bumps. Raise your arms up to see the same changes. While you are in front of the mirror, gently squeeze each nipple with your fingers and check for fluid (it can be milky or yellow or bloody). Place your fingers together flat on the breast and touch it firmly and smoothly with your fingertips. The range covers the entire breast from top to bottom, side to side, from the collarbone to the upper edge of the abdomen, and from the armpit to the cleavage. Finally, touch your breasts while you are standing or sitting. Many women find the easiest way to examine their breasts is when their skin is wet and slippery, so they prefer to do this step in the shower. Range over the entire breast and perform the above steps with the same technique.
