Breast fibroadenomas are prone to recurrence after surgery, which is known to many patients and is one of the biggest preoperative concerns for breast lump patients. In fact, there are some better ways to prevent postoperative recurrence by applying traditional Chinese medicine and combining with surgery. 1, the operation must be careful not to be hasty, can not make the tumor has residual, try to together with a small amount of surrounding glands together with the resection. 2.Preventing constipation after surgery is very critical, change bad habits, eat more celery, apples, etc. with some coarse grains and other high fiber foods. 3.After surgery, according to the pathology, correct the breast hyperplasia; if the pathology report “hyperplasia active” and so on, it is necessary to receive further treatment, the principle of treatment should be in accordance with the traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis and treatment. 4.Many fibroadenomas cut off in surgery, in fact, the pathology report is “breast hyperplasia with fibroadenomatous changes”, which must be treated with TCM, because this situation is easy to recur. We have done such a clinical trial, 63 cases of postoperative fibroadenoma patients were collected from outside hospitals, and after 2 years of follow-up, 17 cases had recurrence; while 79 cases of the same patients were collected from our hospitals, and all of them were further treated with traditional Chinese medicine according to the pathology after the operation, and no case of recurrence was found in the 3 years of follow-up so far. Of course, this requires further expansion of the sample size and further long-term observation to obtain more accurate verification. Therefore, for the surgical treatment of fibroadenoma, we believe that it is inappropriate to “just forget about it”, especially for young women, we should actively consider the problem of postoperative recurrence, and the combination of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine is the most ideal treatment method, and the postoperative treatment with traditional Chinese medicine, which is used for dredging the liver and regulating the qi, warming the kidneys and dispersing the lumps and knots, will achieve a better therapeutic effect.
