Chronic urticaria tends to be prolonged and can last for months or years. Urticaria is a limited edema of the skin’s mucous membranes that occurs due to a temporary increase in vascular permeability. Spontaneous flare-ups or angioedema that recur for more than 6 weeks and occur at least twice a week are called chronic urticaria. Chronic urticaria is characterized by sporadic and recurrent episodes of skin eruptions lasting months or years, and most of them have no clear cause. Therefore, there is no cure for it, and it is usually treated with oral antihistamines, combined with immunosuppressants if necessary, or with biologics. Suffering from chronic urticaria should be timely consultation, standardized medication treatment.
