The early symptoms of sleep epilepsy in children are emotional symptoms, five sensory symptoms, and somatic symptoms. Emotional symptoms are, for example, anxiety, depression, irritability, and unpleasant mood. Somatic symptoms are sensation of ants in the body, numbness, numbness of the tongue, and pain in the torso. The five senses symptoms are that you may see something in color, than see red balls, see green flashes, see those things floating around in front of your eyes. These symptoms are all early symptoms of epilepsy. Among the somatosensory symptoms, there is also a head and eyes tilted to one side, and some are fever, face swelling and pain, and even some skin color changes. Some hear the sound of a bell, and the tongue feels sweet or bitter.
