Inadequate blood supply to the brain? Try hyperbaric oxygen!

1, dizziness or cerebral blood supply deficiency Many elderly people often feel dizzy, and after going to the hospital for examination, doctors often say that your carotid and cerebral arteries have different degrees of atherosclerosis, plaque, etc., and the blood viscosity is also high, which easily leads to cerebrovascular blood supply deficiency, which in turn brings about oxygen supply deficiency and thus causes dizziness. Many such patients come to the hyperbaric oxygen department of our Naval General Hospital and receive 1-2 courses of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (about 14d) along with intravenous vascular softening and circulation improving drugs, and most of the dizziness is significantly improved. The clinical manifestations of chronic cerebral insufficiency are frequent and recurrent symptoms of dizziness, lightheadedness, headache, weakness, and manifestations of irritability, tinnitus, impatience and irritability, insomnia and dreaminess, memory loss and inattention, and cranial MRI often shows cerebral white matter osteoporosis. Chronic cerebral hypoperfusion is more common in middle-aged and elderly people, and people who overuse their brains and suffer from stress may also suffer from this condition. Chronic cerebral hypoperfusion may not be taken seriously by many people, but once the disease progresses, it is very likely to develop into acute stroke (cerebral infarction or cerebral hemorrhage). 2, hyperbaric oxygen can improve the problem of cerebral hypoxia Hyperbaric oxygen can improve the discomfort caused by cerebral hypoperfusion in the clinic, because when the patient undergoes hyperbaric oxygen therapy, the dissolvable oxygen in the blood reaches nearly 14 times of that when inhaling air under normal pressure, therefore, it can rapidly increase the blood oxygen content, oxygen partial pressure and blood oxygen diffusion in the body within a short period of time, so as to improve the state of tissue hypoxia and promote the function recovery of various organs in the body. Research also shows that hyperbaric oxygen can reduce blood viscosity and improve microcirculation; promote the activity and division of vascular fibroblasts, promote new angiogenesis and accelerate the establishment of collateral circulation; enhance the function of phagocytes and open the blocked capillaries, thus further helping human cells and tissues to get sufficient oxygen and nutrition, which can play a role in improving the functions of human brain, lung, heart, kidney and liver. It can improve the function of brain, lung, heart, kidney and liver. Cerebral arteriosclerosis can lead to insufficient blood supply to the brain, which is one of the common causes of stroke, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy can improve symptoms and prevent stroke. In addition, hyperbaric oxygen is often used for the rehabilitation of post-stroke patients. Many clinical studies have shown that hyperbaric oxygen therapy should be started as soon as possible after stabilization of stroke patients (including cerebral infarction and cerebral hemorrhage), which can reduce the chance and severity of sequelae. In addition, hyperbaric oxygen therapy is more effective when combined with drug combination therapy. In addition, hyperbaric oxygen is widely used in clinical practice, besides cerebrovascular diseases, it is also applicable to all kinds of traumatic brain injury and nerve injury, sudden deafness and tinnitus, Meniere’s syndrome, all kinds of vascular blockage thrombosis diseases (such as deep vein thrombosis of lower limbs, etc.), central and peripheral facial palsy, diabetes and complications, asthma, etc. We hope that more people will recognize chronic cerebral insufficiency and adopt a comprehensive treatment plan including hyperbaric oxygen to slow down or reverse the progress of the disease and improve their quality of life!
