How parents care about their children’s health

Children, always, are a parent’s primary concern. And health is the most important. When children are home from school in summer, do parents care about the most important health issues? As a parent, how can you care about your child’s health? Especially the potential health problems that are easy to ignore. It is recommended to start with the following aspects: 1. Care for your child’s eyes: go to the ophthalmology department for a vision measurement. If you already wear glasses, get a new optometry every semester to test whether the glasses fit. Then ask your doctor to give your child some guidance on caring for his or her eyesight. 2. Care for your child’s teeth: go to the stomatology department for a checkup. If there is a small problem, find it early and deal with it. And ask the doctor to do some dental care education to the child. 3.Care for your child’s growth: usually help your child measure and record his height every quarter (put a height sticker on the wall, record height, weight and date of measurement). If you find that your child is growing slowly, you should go to an endocrinologist in time to check if everything is normal. Summer checkups do not affect school. 4, care about the child’s weight: now obesity is a big health problem, and children are no exception. If the child is overweight or obese, the family must pay attention, the whole family work together, starting from changing the diet structure, the whole family mobilization to exercise. Can ask the nutritionist and endocrinologist guidance. 5, care about the child’s development: premature development is precocious, the development is not developed is delayed sexual development. Both need special attention, and the timing of treatment is key. Parents should care about their children’s development, and ask the endocrinologist to judge if it is normal or not; if it is obviously abnormal, go to the endocrinologist to see it. 6, care about the child’s sleep: healthy sleep is the root of physical health. It’s summer vacation, parents should set an example by maintaining a healthy routine, reminding and taking care of their children to maintain the routine during the school year. Make sure you get at least 9 hours of sleep a day. 7. Care for your child’s mental health: Spend more time in the summer communicating with your child in all aspects to better understand your child’s mental health issues. Is your child happy? Is he or she anxious? Is he or she confident? Does he or she look at people and things positively? Does he or she communicate and get along well with others? Parental guidance can help children to better cope with the confusion in the process of growing up.
