Urinary incontinence after prostate surgery may be related to urinary tract infection, surgical damage to the external sphincter and so on. 1. Urinary tract infection: If urinary tract infection occurs after prostate surgery, it will stimulate the local area and cause urinary urgency, which will be manifested in a phenomenon similar to urinary incontinence. 2. Surgical damage to the external sphincter: If the prostate gland tears off during prostate surgery, it may damage the membrane urethra, which in turn damages the sphincter, and can lead to true urinary incontinence. Therefore, urinary incontinence after prostate surgery is a common clinical complication, most of which is temporary and can be gradually relieved after active treatment.
