Is formula the cause of constipation in newborns?

There are many causes of constipation in newborns, and improper formula feeding is indeed one of the more common causes. If the calorie content of the formula is too high, or if the formula is too thickly brewed, resulting in a relatively low water intake for the newborn, this may cause constipation in the newborn. In this case, you may consider adjusting the formula brewing ratio, adding extra water or changing the formula. It is advisable to do this under medical supervision.
