Slight swelling of the eye, a small amount of blood seepage and secretion are normal reactions, patients can live a normal life, pay attention to the surgical eye not to enter the dirty water, 4-6 times a day to point anti-inflammatory eye drops, if there is a secretion with a clean swab to wipe off, and wait for the conjunctival wound healing and swelling subside. Wearing a temporary eye piece: generally 3-4 weeks after the operation, if the wound heals and the swelling basically subsides, you can wear a temporary eye piece, the cost is about 1,000 yuan. Because the swelling of the eye has not completely subsided at this time, only a temporary eye piece can be worn, that is, to choose a more suitable eye piece from a lot of good eye pieces to wear. Custom-made eye prosthesis: 4-6 months after the operation, the swelling of the eye has completely subsided, and the appearance is stable, if the original temporary eye piece is not suitable, you can order a more suitable eye piece according to the color and size of the healthy eye, so that the prosthetic eye can be closer to the normal eye, and the appearance of the prosthetic eye is more beautiful and natural. However, it is important to make sure that the eyelids are basically normal before ordering an eye piece, because if the eye piece is ordered after eyelid surgery (e.g., ptosis correction), it may not be appropriate to order an eye piece after the surgery, and ordering an eye piece again will increase the patient’s burden.
