Central plasma choroidal retinopathy is a common fundopathy characterized by limited plasma neuroepithelial detachment in the macula and its vicinity, which is often referred to as “central plasma” in domestic clinics. Most of the healthy adults suddenly find blurring of vision, the center of the visual field seems to be blocked by a faint shadow, and there may be a sense of distortion and smallness of the visual object. The degree of visual impairment varies, with distance visual acuity ranging from 1.0 to 0.1, and deformations or dark spots are often seen on Amsler’s grid. Funduscopic examination reveals only flickering reflections in the posterior retina in mild cases, with a slightly diffuse center-concave light reflex. In severe cases, there is a rounded, elevated disk detachment of the retina in the macular region with a reflective wheel at its edge. After a few weeks there are yellowish-white exudate spots in the disk detachment area. Slit-lamp contact microscopy showed that the neuroepithelial layer was separated from the pigmented epithelial layer in the optical section, the neuroepithelial layer was bulging forward, the posterior wall of the detachment cavity had yellowish-white dots, and the fluid in the cavity could be clear or slightly cloudy. In individual very severe cases, the subretinal fluid is excessive and flows downward due to gravity, detaching the peripheral retina. After the fluid is absorbed, pigment epithelial atrophy strips are often left in the lower half of the eye in the area where the fluid flowed through, clearly showing the traces and extent of the initial subretinal fluid channels. Precautions for patients with plasma: 1, quit smoking and alcohol; 2, avoid staying up late; 3, improve mood, reduce anxiety, depression and other bad emotions; 4, patients with poor sleep need to actively improve the quality of sleep; 5, prohibited or cautious use of hormone drugs; 6, male patients to avoid or reduce the Viagra drugs, or unknown components of renal tonic drugs; 7, control blood pressure; 8, patients with a short period of time no need to anxiety, the onset of the disease. Through the above precautions, some patients may be self-cured; 9, the disease may involve both eyes. The disease may involve both eyes and recur after cure or self-healing.
