What to do if the middle plasma macular edema doesn’t go away?

Middle plasma macular edema, if it has been bad, can be treated by eliminating the causative factors, applying drugs, laser photocoagulation, photodynamic therapy and other methods. 1. Eliminate the causative factors: eliminate the causes of MME in time, such as stabilizing emotions, relieving mental stress, avoiding fatigue, etc. 2. Application of drugs: application of drugs to improve the microcirculation of the retina, such as compound thromboxane tablets. 3. Laser photocoagulation: Go to the hospital for fundus angiography in time to clarify the retinal leakage point. If the leakage point is located beyond 200μm from the macular center, laser photocoagulation can be used to promote the barrier repair of retinal pigment epithelium and the absorption of subretinal fluid. 4. Photodynamic therapy: If the lesion recurs, photodynamic therapy is needed, i.e., irradiating the lesion with specific wavelengths to activate the photosensitive drug that selectively gathers in the lesion tissues, triggering a photochemical reaction and destroying the lesion. Middle plasma macular edema has not been eliminated, it is recommended that patients seek timely medical treatment and medication as prescribed by the doctor.
