What tests are required for a gynecological checkup?

In the past, people went to the hospital only when they were unwell, but with the improvement of living standard, it is now more and more common for people to go to the hospital for physical examination every year. Gynecological examination, cervical cytology examination and gynecological ultrasound are the basic gynecological checkups, and serum tumor markers are also more commonly used. Gynecological examination: It is a routine gynecological examination by a gynecologist to make a preliminary judgment on the gynecological condition by observing the vulva, vagina and cervix, and examining the uterus, fallopian tubes and ovaries by double and triple diagnosis (double diagnosis + anal finger examination). For those who are not sexually active, vaginal examination cannot be done, but double examination can be done through the anus. Cervical cytology: The purpose is to screen for cervical cancer. If there is any abnormality in cytology, colposcopy and colposcopy-guided biopsy should be done. Sometimes early cervical cancer has no obvious abnormal changes under colposcopy, so colposcopy cannot replace cytology examination. Gynecological ultrasound examination: Ultrasound examination is very common in gynecology and can detect lesions in uterus, fallopian tubes and ovaries. Serum tumor markers: commonly used serum markers for gynecologic tumors include CA125 , CA19-9, SCC, CEA, AFP, etc., which have certain significance for the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant gynecologic tumors.
