The patient was a 20-year-old female who presented to the clinic with hip pain during walking for 1 year. She was diagnosed with left acetabular dysplasia and underwent periacetabular osteotomy for orthopedic treatment. A comparison of the preoperative and postoperative x-rays (Figure) showed that periacetabular osteotomy had a good orthopedic effect on this type of acetabular dysplasia. The preoperative radiograph showed a subluxation of the hip joint, with half of the right femoral head exposed and not covered by the acetabulum. After the periacetabular osteotomy, the femoral head was repositioned and the acetabulum covered the femoral head satisfactorily.
