    “Acne is a chronic inflammatory skin disease caused by the blockage and inflammation of hair follicles and sebaceous glands. It is also one of the most common diseases in cosmetic dermatology.  1. Acupuncture therapy For facial acne, first sterilize the skin with 75% alcohol, then use a trigeminal needle to prick the rash area. It is better to prick superficially and squeeze out the secretions from the affected follicles. For acne that occurs on the chest and back, the acne should be firstly referred to the acupuncture method for facial acne. After squeezing out the secretions from the acne, the acupuncture points such as Fengmen, Lung acupuncture point and Diaphragm acupuncture point should be punctured, and then cupping should be done on the acne area and the above points to release a small amount of blood.
 2. Internal Chinese medicine Internal Chinese medicine is based on the Five Flavors Disinfectant Drink (wild chrysanthemum, honeysuckle, aster, asparagus, dandelion), together with Scutellaria baicalensis, Huang Lian, Huang Bai, Gardenia jasminoides, Dan Pi, Red Peony, etc., to clear heat and cool the blood. For blood stasis, add Chuanxiong, Danpi, Danshen, etc.; for spleen deficiency, add Atractylodes, Bai Shao, etc.; for liver depression, add Radix Aromaticus, Yu Jin, Chai Hu, etc.; for female physiological cycle disorders, add Ligusticum ligusticum, Chen Pi, Citrus aurantium, etc.; for dampness, add Poria, Zedoary, Bitter Ginseng, Radix Rehmanniae, etc.; for poor appetite and abdominal distension, add Radix et Rhizoma Gynostemma, Jiao Shanzha, Citrus aurantium, etc.
 3. External application of Chinese medicine After acupuncture therapy, there will be tissue fluid exuding from the rash area, and the patient feels that the skin is red and swollen, so external application of Chinese medicine can promote the skin to reduce inflammation and swelling. Operation method: Wash the patient’s face with water, make a mask with ground Chinese medicine and apply it evenly on the acne area of the face with a thickness of 0.5 – 1 mm. After 20 minutes, remove the mask and wash it off with water.
    The above method, once a week, four times for a course of treatment, general acne patients can be cured within a course of treatment. Severe patients can also control acne well after two courses of treatment and get satisfactory results!
