Chronic pharyngitis symptoms

Chronic pharyngitis is mostly caused by repeated upper respiratory infections, tobacco and alcohol, improper vocal habits and digestive tract diseases. Common symptoms are pharyngeal foreign body sensation, phlegm, dry pharynx, sore throat, morning brushing nausea, etc. The current treatment is mostly based on symptomatic treatment and improvement of living and eating habits, or targeted treatment if there is a clear cause (e.g., sinusitis, reflux esophagitis). However, the disease, especially those with foreign body sensation in the throat as the main symptom, should be differentiated from thyroid, larynx and esophageal tumors, and can be examined by ultrasound, laryngoscopy and barium swallow of esophagus respectively.
