For the majority of myopic patients, there are two ways to correct their vision, either through glasses or myopia surgery, and surgery is not the only necessary option. A full understanding of one’s own needs is a prerequisite for determining whether to undergo myopia surgery. A common motivation for surgery is if one does not want to wear glasses, is not a good candidate for glasses, or is required by work. If you want to undergo myopia surgery, you are usually required to meet the following points: 1. Patients are usually required to be between the ages of 18-50; 2. Myopia has remained stable for more than two years and there are no diseases in the eyes such as glaucoma or dry eye; 3. There are no systemic diseases in the body, such as rheumatoid arthritis; 4. Ending breastfeeding for more than six months; 5. Contact lens wearers need to remove their contact lenses for at least seven days.
