Thyroglossal cysts usually grow into round lumps with a diameter of 1-2cm. Different treatments are chosen according to whether the cysts are infected or not.
1. Patients with thyroglossal cysts should go to the hospital for resection before the cyst becomes infected to prevent the infection from rupturing and forming a sinus tract, thus delaying the condition and causing big trouble.
