What to do about fluid accumulation in tuberculosis

Tuberculosis effusion should be treated with anti-tuberculosis drugs such as isoniazid, rifampicin, rifapentine, pyrazinamide, streptomycin, etanercept, levofloxacin and so on. The principles of drug administration are early, appropriate dosage, combination, full course, and regular administration. In the process of drug administration, attention should be paid to monitoring side effects, such as liver function impairment, renal function impairment, peripheral neuropathy, and so on. In addition to the treatment with anti-tuberculosis drugs, if the volume of chest water is large, treatment can be carried out by thoracentesis and fluid extraction, as well as chest injection of isoniazid. Patients with tuberculosis should also be treated symptomatically, such as using antibiotics if they have co-infection with bacteria, or eating high-protein foods if they are malnourished.
