What does an ultrasound of breast cancer show?

The ultrasound presentation of breast cancer is usually hypoechoic, some of which are ultrahypoechoic, with unclear borders and crabfoot-like appearance. Surrounding halo signs and enlarged axillary lymph nodes can be secondary signs. For breast cancer, ultrasound is only one of the signs, but it can also be combined with mammography, which is the clearest way to see the small sandy calcifications. Ultrasound is the most basic screening test for breast cancer without radiation, so it is the primary method of screening for women who are breastfeeding or pregnant.
