Can I do Kegel exercises for a prolapsed cervix?

Kegel exercises, a form of pelvic floor muscle exercise, can strengthen and co-ordinate weak pelvic floor muscles, enhance pelvic floor support and improve pelvic floor function. There are studies of patients with superficial symptomatic POP-Q I-III, where exercise under professional supervision is effective in reducing the symptoms. A meta-analysis has also shown that it improves symptoms and severity, reduces gradations and delays disease progression in patients with milder degrees. Kegel exercises are therefore good treatment, but Kegel exercises alone do not cure cervical prolapse in severe patients.
