Can men with type II diabetes have children?

Men with type 2 diabetes are generally able to have children. Type 2 diabetes is a heterogeneous, polygenic genetic disease, but each gene only confers some degree of susceptibility to an individual, and is not sufficient to cause the disease, nor is it necessarily necessary to cause it. It is usually a combination of genetic and environmental factors. In the male population with type 2 diabetes, it is usually possible to have children when blood glucose is stabilized through aggressive treatment and there are no other disorders affecting fertility such as chromosomal abnormalities or reproductive tract infections. It is recommended that men with type 2 diabetes should work with their doctors to keep their blood sugar under control and prepare for pregnancy in many ways, such as eating a balanced diet and exercising, before they plan to have children.
