Ultrasound findings vary depending on the severity of fatty liver. In diffuse fatty liver, the intrahepatic echoes are still uniform, while in limited fatty liver, the intrahepatic echoes are unevenly distributed.
Diffuse fatty liver ultrasound shows diffuse thickening and enhancement of liver echoes, with dense light spots, still uniform intrahepatic echoes, smooth and neat liver edges, and stenosis of blood vessels and bile ducts.
The color ultrasound of limited fatty liver shows that mass-like echoes of different sizes can be seen in the liver, and the internal echo distribution is not uniform, and some patients can see limited fatty liquefaction and necrosis, and there is no intrahepatic bile ducts compression, infiltration and other occupying signs.
In addition to imaging examination, patients with fatty liver also need to combine with liver function and blood lipid test to comprehensively determine the condition, and if necessary, liver puncture is also needed. Once found fatty liver, all should be actively treated to avoid disease progression.
