Proteinuria and hematuria can be categorized as “blood in urine” in Chinese medicine, and traditional Chinese medicine treatment needs to be based on the identification and typing of the selection of the combination of applications, and commonly used traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions include Xiao Ji Drink, Zhi Bai Di Huang Tang, Gui Spleen Tang and so on. 1. Yin deficiency and fire: manifested as short and red urine (small amount of urine, dark yellow color), dizziness, tinnitus, heat in the hands and feet, zygomatic redness (reddish color of cheeks and zygomatic bones), hot flashes, and soreness and weakness of the waist and knees. When nourishing Yin and lowering fire, cooling Blood and stopping bleeding. Use Zhi Bai Di Huang Wan plus reduction. 3. Weakness of spleen qi (weak spleen qi): blood in urine or proteinuria of long duration, yellowish color, tiredness, fatigue, dullness (no appetite, reduced food intake), shortness of breath and low voice. The spleen should be tonified to regulate blood. Use Gui Spleen Tang to add subtractions.
