Tuberculous enteritis is a medical condition called intestinal tuberculosis, which is a series of symptoms caused by the infection of the intestine by Mycobacterium tuberculosis, mostly caused by further infection of the intestine based on pulmonary tuberculosis. The clinical manifestations of tuberculous enteritis are alternating episodes of constipation and diarrhea, often accompanied by shortness of breath, weight loss, and abdominal distention. The diagnosis is confirmed mainly by pathological biopsy, which is the gold standard for clinical disease diagnosis. However, after taking a biopsy, the typical pathological changes of tuberculosis can be found through microscopic observation, such as case-like necrosis and tuberculous granuloma, and the diagnosis of tuberculous enteritis can be confirmed based on the typical description of the medical history.
