The symptoms of corpus callosum infarction are mainly determined by the part of the corpus callosum ventricularis, or the part of the corpus pressure after the infarction. Patients may show the following symptoms: 1. Patients may have slurred speech, salivation at the corners of the mouth, some patients may show indifferent reactions, while others may show mental symptoms such as euphoria. 2. Some patients may show loss of muscle strength, or have slow reactions, dementia, and also have urinary and fecal dysfunction. In case of extensive infarction of the corpus callosum, the patient may experience blurred consciousness with coma, and in severe cases, nausea and vomiting caused by intracranial hypertension. The corpus callosum is the link between the right and left brain. After infarction, symptoms in terms of physical function, speech function and mental abnormalities may occur.
