What is the difference between anal polyps and hemorrhoids?

Anal polyps are a common disease, some people who have anal polyps always think they have hemorrhoids, so what is the difference between anal polyps and hemorrhoids? Specifically, polyps, first of all it is a kind of polyp, that is, an excess lump on the human tissue. An anal polyp is an excess mass that occurs on the anal canal or rectal mask, a benign tumor that is mostly round or oval in shape. Its main clinical symptoms include painless blood in the stool (no blood dripping), prolapse of polyps, and symptoms of intestinal irritation (abdominal pain, diarrhea, pus and blood stools, etc.). Anal polyps are more commonly known as inflammatory polyps and adenomatous polyps. If it is an inflammatory polyp, then it will disappear after healing. If it is an adenomatous polyp, then we must be alert, because this kind of polyp usually does not disappear, and may be malignant or even cancerous, so we must have regular checkups and see how the situation will be treated surgically. There are many factors in the development of anal polyps, such as dietary factors, inflammatory stimulation, fecal and foreign body stimulation, mechanical injury and genetics may lead to anal polyps. Hemorrhoids, medically, are mostly considered to be venous masses formed due to stasis, expansion and varicosity of the venous plexus under the skin of the rectal mucosa and anal canal. Most clinical symptoms are seen, such as blood in the stool (dripping blood during defecation), swelling, pain, and a feeling of swelling. Current mainstream medical treatment is aimed at eliminating symptoms and relieving pain rather than eliminating the body of the hemorrhoid. Many factors contribute to hemorrhoids, of which chronic constipation, heavy consumption of spicy and irritating foods, alcohol consumption and sedentary pressure on the anal cushion tissue are considered to be the main triggers.
