How to tell if you have vasculitis

Vasculitis cannot be diagnosed by individual symptoms alone, but should be diagnosed by routine blood tests, relevant antibody tests, pathologic biopsy and other tests. Vasculitis is a kind of immune disease mainly characterized by inflammation of blood vessel wall. Common vasculitis includes aortitis, Kawasaki disease, urticarial vasculitis, etc. Its pathogenesis may be related to infection, autoimmune system and other factors. The main manifestations include fatigue, fever, joint and muscle pain. If other organs are involved, there may also be skin rashes, cough, sputum, hematuria, dizziness and other symptoms. To diagnose vasculitis, in addition to the similar symptoms mentioned above, it is also necessary to carry out examinations by testing the blood routine, anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody measurement, pathological biopsy, angiography, CT, MRI and so on. If there is any discomfort, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time to improve the relevant examinations, make a clear diagnosis, and follow the doctor’s instructions to standardize the treatment.
