Dietary recommendations for patients with traveler’s edema

  Long hours in a car, the lower limbs can appear swollen, medically known as “traveler’s edema”. In terms of diet, it is advisable to eat foods that are dehydrating and diuretic; foods rich in high-quality protein; and foods that can be easily digested and absorbed. The following foods are recommended to be eaten in moderation: 1. Kelp Kelp contains a large amount of mannitol, which has a diuretic and dehydrating effect and can play a role in reducing edema, which is conducive to relieving the patient’s symptoms. It is recommended that 200-300 grams per day is appropriate.  Milk Milk is rich in high-quality protein nutrients and a variety of mineral elements, which can enhance the body’s immunity, prevent hypoproteinemia, and help patients recover. It is recommended that 300-400 ml per day is appropriate. Hot drinks are preferred.  3, bananas Bananas are vitamin-rich food, with laxative and intestinal tract, to promote the absorption of nutrients, conducive to the recovery of the patient’s body. It is recommended to have 2-3 bananas per day.
