Pus accumulation in the uterine cavity can be seen in older women or in patients with endometrial cancer, after radiation therapy to the uterine cavity, and after cervical and uterine surgery. Patients may present with lower abdominal pain with systemic symptoms such as fever and chills. Cervical obstruction caused by acute or chronic endometritis can lead to pus accumulation in the uterine cavity if the inflammatory secretions in the uterine cavity cannot drain out or are poorly drained. There are 2 necessary conditions for the occurrence of this disease: the initial pus generation can be pus, or it can be non-inflammatory fluid and blood accumulation first, and then combined with infection; cervical stenosis atresia and endometritis are the most direct causes of this disease.
