Patients with gonorrhea usually do not show signs of glans erythema, and patients can go to the hospital for a detailed examination to determine the cause. Gonorrhea is caused by infection with Neisseria gonorrhoeae. Patients can first have symptoms of urinary urgency, painful urination and frequent urination, followed by redness and swelling of the urethra and purulent discharge from the urethra.
