Kidney cysts cause hypertension, for this problem should be analyzed from the following two aspects: 1, for simple kidney cysts, mainly benign after, most of them will not lead to the appearance of hypertension. 2, for patients with polycystic kidney, especially those with autosomal recessive polycystic kidney, with the increasing volume of cysts, when the diameter of cysts exceeds 5cm it is easy to compress the surrounding kidney tissues, which leads to kidney ischemia, necrosis and fibrosis of the tissues. On the one hand, it directly leads to the activation of RAS system, which results in vasoconstriction and causes nephrogenic hypertension. On the other hand, with the obvious impairment of renal function, patients can develop acidosis, decreased prostacyclin production and many other factors, which eventually lead to the appearance of renal hypertension.
