Control criteria for hypertension in the elderly

Elderly people’s blood pressure control at 150/90mmHg is better, but the control standard is different under different circumstances: 1, patients aged 60-70 years old who are in good health, blood pressure should be strictly controlled at 140/90mmHg or less; 2, patients aged 70-80 years old with other diseases combined, blood pressure control standard can be relaxed to 150/90mmHg; 3, elderly patients over 80 years old, blood pressure control at about 150/90mmHg, should not be too low, blood pressure is too low lead to cerebral perfusion deficiency, easy to trigger a stroke; 4, combined with diabetes in elderly patients with hypertension, blood pressure control is more strict, should be below 130/80mHg.
