What is herpes zoster/genital herpes?

Herpes zoster is a skin disease caused by varicella-zoster virus infection, with neuralgia and skin rashes as the main manifestations. The common people call it “string of waist dragon”, “snake string sores”. Lack of sleep, overexertion, and low immune function due to various chronic diseases are the main triggers for the onset of the disease. Herpes is often distributed unilaterally along one side of the body in an area of skin innervated by a peripheral nerve, and can occur on the chest, waist, neck, upper and lower extremities, as well as on the head and face. Some patients with untimely early treatment or older, weaker patients are prone to persistent post-herpetic neuralgia for months or years, causing great pain to patients. We use a combination of Chinese and Western medicine drug therapy, early diagnosis, early treatment, can significantly shorten the duration of herpes and neuralgia, reduce the occurrence of post-herpetic neuralgia. Genital herpes: It is a sexually transmitted disease caused by herpes simplex virus (HSV) infection. About 90%; caused by HSV-II, 10%; caused by HSV-Ⅰ. In recent years, the incidence of genital herpes has increased significantly, and the rate of HSV-Ⅰ infection has increased. HSV enters the body mainly through the skin, mucous membranes or breaks, and first replicates in the epidermis or dermis, with or without clinical symptoms, and then infects the sensory nerves or autonomic nerves after full local replication, and the virus enters the nerve cells of the nearby sacral ganglia along the nerve axons. When the body is immunocompromised (e.g., with immunosuppression, exertion, infection, psychological trauma, menstruation, pregnancy, and cutaneous ganglion trauma) it can become reactive and retrograde to the skin/mucosa to appear as recurrent genital herpes. Many patients lack understanding of the disease and either do not seek treatment after getting the disease, delaying it, or are overly fearful, causing psychological pain. Standardized treatment can effectively control the disease and minimize the harm of herpes.
