How should lid xanthoma be treated?

  What is a lid xanthoma?  Feature 1: A yellowish soft, flat, warty bump on the upper and lower eyelids, initially as large as a grain of rice and slightly above the skin; Feature 2: Separate from normal skin with irregular, symmetrical borders; Feature 3: A yellow or orange patch on the skin caused by lipid deposition in the eyelid area.  Feature 4: It is related to lipid metabolism and is most often seen in people with hyperlipoproteinemia and hepatobiliary disease, with a high prevalence in middle-aged people. Studies have found that 33% of men and 40% of women with hypercholesterolemia suffer from this disease.  How is lid xanthoma treated?  1. Check for hyperlipidemia. Pay attention to diet control, low-fat, low-cholesterol, low-sugar diet.  2. Local drug injection therapy Pingyangmycin, sodium heparin, sodium bisoprolide alginate – swollen and congested lesions are evident after treatment 3.
