How is advanced cirrhosis treated?

Patients with cirrhosis often have peptic ulcers. For peptic ulcers in this condition, the most important treatment is to improve liver function. The next most important treatment is for gastric ulcers, including inhibition of gastric acid secretion (omeprazole ) and gastric mucosa protectors (prednisone granules). However, in patients with advanced cirrhosis, the above treatments may be less effective.
