Difference between non-invasive breast cancer and invasive breast cancer

The main difference between the two is non-invasive and invasive. As the name implies, the location of cancer cell infiltration, based on the basement membrane, is called invasive breast cancer; if the tumor cells break through the basement membrane, it is called invasive breast cancer; if they do not break through the basement membrane and are confined to above the basement membrane, it is non-invasive breast cancer. Non-invasive breast cancer is also called carcinoma in situ, when the cancer cells do not break through the basement membrane, they may not shed or metastasize. Whether it is lymphatic metastasis or blood metastasis, non-invasive breast cancer has a better prognosis than invasive breast cancer, and treatment may only require surgery and subsequent follow-up.
