What to do when lung cancer spreads

One of the characteristics of lung cancer, which is a malignant tumor, is that it is prone to metastasis; lung cancer metastasis includes direct infiltration metastasis, lymph node metastasis and hematological metastasis, which can invade surrounding lung tissues and lymph nodes of the lung gate via direct infiltration and lymph node metastasis, and bone metastasis and brain metastasis via hematological metastasis.

Lung cancer may manifest as cough, sputum, coughing up blood, wasting, fever, etc. Metastatic lung cancer may manifest as back pain, headache, nausea, vomiting and other symptoms.

At present, most of the lung cancers found in China are mid- to late-stage lung cancers, that is, lung cancers that have spread, and treatment is mainly based on surgery.

The prognosis for early-stage lung cancer is better than that for mid- to late-stage lung cancer, and some early-stage lung cancers can be completely cured with treatment, so early detection is important for lung cancer treatment. The most important thing is to have a regular lung CT exam to detect and treat lung cancer early.
