A mixed hemorrhoid is one in which the varicose veins of the internal and external hemorrhoids in the same direction communicate and anastomose, making the internal and external parts of the hemorrhoid one and the same. Mixed hemorrhoids have both internal and external hemorrhoids as dual symptoms. Patients with mixed cricoid hemorrhoids present with a full anal canal distribution at the anal verge (or) a complete downward shift of the anal canal relative to each other and/or a circular swelling or prolapse of the hemorrhoid during stool. The quality of surgery depends on the skill and experience of the surgeon!
