How serious is the new coronavirus infection

From the current point of view, the novel coronavirus form is severe. The general symptoms of novel coronavirus infection include fever, malaise, dry cough, progressive respiratory distress, and progression to acute respiratory distress syndrome, septic shock, uncorrectable metabolic acidosis, and bleeding and coagulation dysfunction in severely ill patients. Most patients have a good prognosis, and only a few patients are critically ill or even die. The novel coronavirus has many similarities with the genetic sequence of SARS virus, and although the lethality is currently lower than that of SARS and the infectiousness is yet to be determined compared with it, the possibility of virus mutation cannot be ruled out.
