OBJECTIVE: To observe the clinical efficacy of tonifying kidney and benefiting essence soup in the treatment of weak spermatozoa. METHODS: Seventy-five patients with weak spermatozoa in the treatment group were treated with tonifying kidney and benefiting essence soup plus reduction. RESULTS: The treatment of weak spermatozoa with tonifying kidney and benefiting essence soup could relieve the symptoms of patients faster without obvious toxic side effects. CONCLUSION: Tonic Kidney and Beneficial Essence Soup can improve the vitality and activity rate of spermatozoa, and is safe to use with few adverse effects. Weak spermatozoa is one of the important causes of male infertility, and there are many causes and complicated treatment methods, while traditional Chinese medicine has traditional advantages in the treatment of weak spermatozoa, the author used tonifying kidney and benefiting essence soup to treat 75 cases of male infertility caused by weak spermatozoa, and achieved good efficacy, which is reported as follows. 1. Data and methods 1.1 General data From June 2008 to April 2010, a total of 75 cases were observed, all of them were patients with weak spermatozoa in the outpatient clinic of the Urogenital Center of Henan Provincial Hospital, meeting the criteria of the WHO Standardized Diagnostic Manual for Male Infertility, aged 23-44 (average 29.6±5.5) years, with a disease duration of 1-12 (average 6.4) years. There were no significant differences in age, symptoms, and signs among the selected cases by statistical treatment (P>0.05). 1.2 Diagnostic criteria According to the diagnostic criteria recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) [1], couples of childbearing age who have lived together for more than 1 year after marriage without contraceptive measures and whose female partner is infertile due to the male partner; excluding female factors; semen density >20×106/ml; sperm viability, grade a<25% or grade a+b<50%; viability grade a+b+c<60%. Note: Class a sperm refers to fast linear motion; class b sperm refers to slow or sluggish forward motion; class c sperm refers to non-forward motion [2]. 1.3 Treatment All 75 patients were given tonifying kidney and benefiting essence soup with addition and subtraction (Astragalus membranaceus 25g, Salvia miltiorrhiza 20g, Radix Rehmanniae 25g, Radix Angelicae Sinensis 15g, Radix Paeoniae Alba 15g, Rhizoma Ligustici Chuanxiong 10g, Semen Cuscutae 25g, Fructus Lycii 20g, Raspberry 15g, Fructus Schisandrae 15g, Plantago ovata 10g, Radix Bacopa monniera 15g, Semen Spleen 15g, Radix Xianmao 15g, Radix Achyranthes Bidentatae 15g, etc.), 1 dose daily with water. Decoction 2 times to get 500ml of juice, divided into 2 times warm, three months for a course of treatment. During the treatment period, avoid alcohol and spices, avoid straining, and be more active. Before treatment and at the end of the course of treatment (all abstinence 3-7 days) masturbation to extract semen, semen analysis. 1.4 The efficacy criteria were evaluated according to the WHO "Standard Examination and Diagnosis Manual for Infertile Couples" and the "Guidelines for Clinical Research on New Chinese Medicines". Effective: Although no conception, but after 3 months of treatment, sperm vitality grade a+b>50% or grade a>25%, viability grade a+b+c>60%. Effective: Sperm motility and sperm viability, at least 1 of which improved >30% after 3 months of treatment. Ineffective: No significant changes in clinical symptoms, signs and semen routine examination indexes after treatment. 1.5 Statistical methods Statistical analysis was performed using the SPSS13.0 software package. The chi-square test was used for the count data, and the t-test was used for the measurement data. 2. Results After the treatment, 75 patients in this group were cured in 29 cases, accounting for 38.7%; effective in 21 cases, accounting for 28.0%; effective in 17 cases, accounting for 22.7%; and ineffective in 8 cases, accounting for 10.7%. The total effective rate was 89.3%. By t-test, 75 cases of weak spermatozoa were significantly improved with significant differences in a-grade sperm, a+b-grade sperm and sperm viability after more than 3 months of treatment with tonic kidney and sperm supplementation compared with before treatment (P<0.01), the results are shown in Table 1. it indicates that tonic kidney and sperm supplementation has very obvious efficacy on weak spermatozoa. According to the clinical symptoms and signs of this disease, it can be seen as "seminal cold" and "seminal cold" [3]. According to Chinese medicine, this disease is mainly attributed to the kidney, which collects essence and transforms it into qi. Kidney essence is the important material basis for sperm production, and kidney qi is the main driving force for sperm vitality, so deficiency of kidney qi is the main cause of weak spermatozoa. The "Treatise on the Origin of Diseases" has "the kidney is the master of bone marrow and harbors sperm, the deficiency of kidney qi is the reason for the weakness of sperm and no sperm". In recent years, with the impact of economic development, environmental pollution, smoking, alcoholism and other factors on human beings, Chinese medicine has further understanding of the etiology and pathogenesis of this disease, and believes that its pathogenesis is mainly a deficiency of kidney qi, deficiency of qi and blood with dampness, heat, stasis and toxicity, so the treatment is not only based on tonifying the kidney, but also requires appropriate clearing of dampness and heat and activating blood circulation to remove blood stasis. This formula is made by combining Wu Zi Yan Zong Wan, which tonifies the kidney essence, with Si Wu Tang, which nourishes the Blood and invigorates the Blood. The combination of Cuscuta, Fructus Lycii, Wu Wei Zi, Raspberry, Plantago, Xian Mao and Xian Ling Spleen can both tonify the kidney yin and kidney yang. and activity rate. Siwu Tang with Dan Shen and Huang Qi tonifies Qi, nourishes Blood and invigorates Blood, which is the driving force of this formula. Chuan Niu Knee leads the herbs to the Kidney meridian to tonify the Kidney and clear the meridian.
