Risks of myopia surgery

Surgical treatment for myopia currently includes excimer laser surgery, femtosecond laser surgery, IOL implantation for crystalline eyes, and lens replacement, all of which are invasive operations. As long as they are invasive operations, they may bring about rare complications, such as overcorrection, undercorrection, refractive regression, dry eye, postoperative symptoms such as halos and glare, infectious keratitis, corneal interlayer debris, and progressive corneal dilatation. However, the chance of occurrence is usually not too high and uncommon, and it is manageable, so there is no need to worry too much. However, if expectations for the procedure are too high, it is advisable to choose carefully, as no one can guarantee 100% freedom from complications.
