I have always wanted to write an article like this because I have met many patients from out of town in the clinic, and for various reasons, such as: patients do not bring their head MRI, they only take the report card, or even think that if they have had the test locally, it will not be recognized here in Beijing, and they do not bring their previous relevant test data leading to repeated tests, which increases the financial burden of the patients and their families. Therefore, based on my own personal experience, I have written the following nine points to remind all Parkinson’s patients of the precautions to take before visiting the clinic. 1. Collect all the tests you have done since your illness and bring them here, especially the head MRI and PET films (you can’t just bring the report card), and arrange them in chronological order as much as possible! If the disease is complex and difficult (most of the foreign patients who come to Beijing are relatively complex), it is recommended that the cranial MRI should be within the last 1 year (because the course of the disease is very important for some Parkinson’s syndrome patients, such as: multi-system atrophy), so that you can avoid waiting in line for the examination in Beijing and increase the cost of medical treatment; (It should be noted that the cranial MRI is best performed in a local tertiary hospital or above, so that the equipment and technology is better guaranteed. (It should be noted that it is better to have the cranial MRI done in a local tertiary hospital, so that the equipment and technology can be better guaranteed, and a major reason why some patients are not recognized by large hospitals is because the MRI equipment in a small number of primary hospitals is older). 2, as far as possible, print out the approximate history of your disease (symptoms at the beginning of the disease, the first time after the clinical diagnosis and the dosage of drugs taken, what was the effect of the drugs taken at that time? The approximate main progress of the disease, including: increased medication time point or medication had side effects! The current dose and type of medication taken. 3, patients with end-of-dose phenomenon (commonly known as the effect of drugs can not be connected) need to tell the doctor in detail the time point of the occurrence of the end-of-dose phenomenon. Remember the four times: dosing time, onset time, maintenance time, and expiration time. 4.If it is convenient, it is recommended to write out the problems you need the doctor to solve this time at home before the visit, preferably no more than 5 (highlighting the key points). 5, the presence of the end of the agent or ischemic patients, especially the end of the agent of the patient, the first time to the clinic, often take drugs in advance to facilitate the visit, which may lead to the visit, the state is relatively good, so you can let the family at home video (the situation when the disease): normal walk straight, turn around, do the movement of the arms and legs, etc.. Some patients sent me the video is not quite qualified, in summary, there are several common problems: (1) the light is particularly dark video, resulting in unclear; (2) video recording only part of the patient, most of the recording around the furniture, etc.; (3) video recording, shaking obvious, a moment left, a moment right, resulting in the person can not be seen; (4) video environment noise, around many (4) the video environment is noisy, surrounded by many passers-by, resulting in the patient sometimes also dodge. We do not need artistic videography, the important thing is to require clear, stable images, the surrounding environment is quiet. 6.Know the information of the doctor you are looking for: many patients come to Beijing to see a doctor, often in the name of a certain doctor, it is recommended that before coming to the hospital official website can contact the clinic telephone, to confirm whether the normal attendance. 7.Preparation before the consultation: It is best to bring the medication to be taken at the next meal, so as not to delay taking the medication and cause restriction of activities; also, it is best to bring a piece of Medroba, because sometimes it is necessary to evaluate the medication for the patient. 8.Arrange travel time in advance: Parkinson’s patients are prone to gait freezing when they are nervous, so it is advisable to go out a little earlier and at a more relaxed time, which may reduce accidents such as falls caused by rushing. 9.For Parkinson’s patients with decreased intelligence or mobility problems and severe disease, it is best to have family members accompany them to avoid accidents.
