The staging of nasopharyngeal cancer is mainly based on the following aspects: first, the extent of invasion of nasopharyngeal cancer; second, the degree, amount and location of lymph node metastasis; third, the metastasis of distant organs. 1. If the tumor invades the skull base or paranasal sinuses, it is a T3 tumor. 4. If the tumor invades the intracranial or cranial nerves or hypopharynx or orbit, it is a T4 tumor. The above is the case of localized masses. Lymph node metastasis, if it is unilateral cervical lymph node metastasis is N1; bilateral cervical lymph node metastasis is N2; unilateral and bilateral cervical lymph node metastasis with maximum diameter over 6cm is N3. If there is distant organ metastasis, it is M1.
