What to do about chest pain from pneumonia

If there is pneumonia and chest pain, it may be related to pleurisy induced by inflammation, or neuralgia caused by intercostal neuritis. It is recommended to observe the changes of chest CT. If the chest CT results suggest pleural lesions, appropriate pain medication, such as ibuprofen or acetaminophen, can be applied for treatment. Also, if the patient has recurrent chest pain, further ECG and cardiac enzymes tests should be performed to rule out any cardiac problems. If heart problems are ruled out, it is considered that pleural lesions are the main cause, so you should not be too nervous and worried.
