Young colorectal cancer

In recent years, we have performed colonoscopy and found that there is an increasing trend of younger incidence of colorectal (rectal and colon) cancer, which should attract further attention. The youngest patient we examined, a male, was only 23 years old at the time of consultation. He complained of frequent blood in the stool since he was 7 or 8 years old, but his family did not care about it because it was not accompanied by pain. On anal examination, an irregular mass was palpated 6 cm from the anus, and colonoscopy was performed. Six months and one year after the surgery, the patient came for follow-up examination, and the recovery was still satisfactory. Initially, it was considered that the polyp was suffered from when he was young, and the treatment was delayed, and it turned from benign to malignant. Yang Baohua, Department of Anorectal Medicine, Puyang Central Hospital 2 months ago, a 28-year-old young mother who had undergone a cesarean section just one year after the operation, underwent colonoscopy because of pain in the right lower abdomen for more than one month as the main symptom, accompanied by significant weight loss in a short period of time. An irregular mass was found in the appendix of the cecum, and the pathology confirmed that it was an adenocarcinoma. Yesterday, the family came to deliver the pathological section, and upon inquiry, surgery was performed, which was found more timely and the surgical result was more satisfactory.       A few days ago, a young and handsome 27-year-old man came to the clinic because of left lower abdominal pain and difficulty in passing stool. At first, we considered that it might be because he usually ate more meat and less vegetables, and his life was irregular, which caused the dry stool to be congested in the rectum, so we put on gloves and prepared to pull out a dry stool for him, but the rectum turned out to be as empty as wild, and the exit finger sleeve was stained with red-brown stool. Colonoscopy was then recommended, and a sigmoid colon mass was found, occupying the intestinal lumen for a week, and the thin body of the mirror could no longer pass through.       Analyzing the patients who were found and finally determined to be malignant tumors by colonoscopy in our hospital in the past three years, there are two major trends: firstly, the incidence is getting higher and higher, and the number of patients is increasing year by year; furthermore, it is getting younger and younger, and colorectal cancer no longer favors the elderly after 50 years old, but more and more middle-aged people in their 30s and 40s, and even young people in their 20s, are hardly spared. Analyzing the reasons, the deterioration of the surrounding environment, the change of diet structure, the increase of social pressure, and family genetics. As ordinary citizens, we should pay attention to a balanced diet and learn to release stress, as well as be aware of cancer prevention and learn related knowledge. For blood in stool, abdominal pain, change of stool habit, etc., promptly go to regular hospitals for early detection and early treatment.
