About Eplidone Tablets

  1.What is Eplerenone?  Eplerenone is a new selective aldosterone receptor blocker, which can effectively control hypertension, reduce the damage to target organs such as heart, brain and kidney, and improve microproteinuria in type II diabetic patients.  2.Indications: Used for primary hypertension and heart failure after myocardial infarction.  3.Adverse reactions of eplerenone tablets: The main adverse reactions are: cough, diarrhea, abdominal pain, angina pectoris, myocardial infarction, proteinuria, headache, dizziness, fatigue, flu-like symptoms, etc.  Other adverse reactions include: gynecomastia, abnormal vaginal bleeding; elevated (blood potassium, triglycerides, cholesterol, glutamyl transaminase, γ-glutamyl transferase, creatinine, uric acid levels), decreased sodium levels.  (1) This product should not be used in combination with potassium supplements, potassium-containing salts or contraindicated drugs (potassium-protective diuretics, strong inhibitors of CYP450 liver drug enzymes).  (2) Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, lithium may affect the blood concentration of this product and affect the efficacy.  (3) Do not take this product if you have high blood potassium, type 2 diabetes mellitus with microproteinuria, high serum creatinine level, or creatinine clearance rate <50mL/min.  (4) Use with caution in pregnant women, children, hepatic insufficiency and renal insufficiency.
